Over a half hour, you can go over any number of issues with a Wheelhouse Legal attorney, getting a broad overview of your current status and how things need to develop in order for your company to stay compliant and profitable.

Demand Packet/Dispute Letter

30 minutes @ $347.00

Say you’ve got someone who owes you money, is using your intellectual property without permission, or is saying unkind and untrue things about you to people whose opinions matter. Or perhaps someone wrongly thinks you’re doing something that violates their rights, and has sent you a nasty note – or hired a lawyer to do it for them. These moments call for gravitas, for stamps, for letterhead with an attorney’s signature at the end. Managing Partner Joshua Walters has sent literally thousands of such letters.

Incorporation & LLC organization

60 minutes @ $247.00 (state fees not included)

Wheelhouse Legal will gladly assist in either ghost-writing the paperwork for the creation of a corporation or LLC, or walking those who are opting for this (more protective and wise) path than the one previously mentioned. Furthermore, for a small $77.00 fee, those who incorporate or organize can also receive assistance with registering a trade name, fictitious business name, d/b/a or any synonym of such, as needed.

DBA/Trade Name/etc. registration for sole proprietorships

If you are absolutely insistent upon using a sole proprietorship, rather than the more protective options of corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs), then you’re legally obligated, if you aren’t using only your own name for your business, to register it with your state, county, or other jurisdiction, depending on local rules. Wheelhouse Legal can both help with this generally-questionable choice and educate you about the merits of limited liability at the same time.

Analysis and DIY Strategy Session

1 hour @ $297.00

Sometimes people are of a truly adventurous spirit, and merely want to receive the advice and assistance, but not hands-on help, of a professional. An hour allows for much more in-depth help than an Initial Consultation, and clients are free to ask detailed questions. Depending on whether these questions pertain to federal law, or another law in which the attorney handling the call is barred, they could receive equally detailed answers.

Disclaimer Drafting / A La Carte Paragraphs

Hourly - $247.00 to book first hour

At the bottom of many a website one may find a paragraph explaining the limitations of the expertise of the purveyor of that website. Feel free to look at the bottom ribbon of this website for an example. If you feel the need to be sure people know that you cannot work miracles, and don’t claim to, then this is the option for it.

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Websites, especially now with the advent of the GDPR, require Terms of Service and Privacy Policies if there is any collection of any data, including e-mail addresses.

Operating Agreement or Bylaws drafting

1 hour @ $847.00

Single member LLCs should have operating agreements (sort of like the Constitution of the business); multiple member LLCs must have operating agreements, and corporations must have bylaws (the corporate equivalent). To not plan ahead for disagreements is to make them much worse.

Copyright Filing

30 minutes @ $947.00 (some fees included)

Honestly, you should do this yourself. It’s not hard, it just takes a long time to hear back (think 18 months or so). Mostly, this is filling out a questionnaire. Provided you created the content yourself, or have a signed Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement, it should be fairly intuitive – though not guaranteed to be successful. If you absolutely want a lawyer to handle this, Wheelhouse Legal will do so. Price includes standard filing fees.

Trademark Filing

60 minutes @ $1750.00 (some USPTO fees included)

Price is subject to current/actual use trademark application, and number of trademark classes remaining set at one. Additional classifications will be $500 each.

Intent-to-use applications (where the mark is not yet in use) will carry an additional $400 fee per class.

In the event that you decide not to proceed with a registration application after a search of the US Patent and Trademark database but before filing, you will be refunded all but $500 paid towards this service.

Clickthrough Contracts

60 minutes @ $947.00

Tailored for stating crucial legal terms without unnecessarily intimidating legal language – just plain-spoken, or even playful explanations of the necessary terms a customer/client needs to know and agree to before they pay a deposit and thus formally begin their affiliation with a service provider. This is recommended primarily for Internet-based services, with consumer-facing strategies, rather than any business-to-business work, which are best served by more formal and conventional contracts.

Those who worry that their end user may be scared off by something that seems like a contract, but who still need a contract, particularly those with remote consulting and information products that target new customers, should select this product.

Wheelhouse Legal is able to modify the written tone and terminology to suit each brand, per the direction and feedback of its owner(s).
